I'm Emilie.I raise money on behalf of Terry Fox.
I heard about the Marathon of Hope in grade one and have led fundraisers ever since. Selling cookies, bracelets, and dog treats, running lemonade stands, door-to-door fundraising, Canucks Community Corner, and the Friends of Fox Annual gala on Vancouver Island. Every dollar goes to the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research.

My story began in grade one. I came home from school after my teacher Mrs. Burger showed us a video about him before the school run. With a Terry book fresh from the library in my hand, I asked my mom, “Do you know Terry Fox?” When she said yes, I asked “Why don't we ever talk about him?”
Since then I've inspired my family and friends to support me in helping Terry, and I started Friends of Fox. Door-to-door canvassing, homemade bracelet and cookie sales, lemonade stands, and annual special fundraising events: me and my Friends of Fox have kept the momentum alive, raising $31,778 for the Terry Fox Foundation.
